Founded in Finland, the birthplace of Nordic Walking, in 2000, the International Nordic Walking Federation (INWA) is the Global Governing Body for Nordic Walking. Officially authorised by the originators of Nordic Walking, INWA is dedicated to promoting, advancing, and safeguarding the core principles of the sport worldwide.

KEY AREAS OF WORK
INWA creates cutting-edge teaching methods and training programs for Nordic Walking in collaboration with experts in sports, health, and fitness. Using our INWA 10 Step Method, we have certified Nordic Walking National Trainers and Instructors in over 40 countries worldwide.
INWA leads the way in developing competitive Nordic Walking, continually expanding global participation, creating clear, fair, and inclusive competition rules, actively supporting athletes at all levels, and consistently upholding the integrity of World Cup Nordic Walking events.
Our members are the heart of our organisation. Together, we form a strong, vibrant and supportive global community of highly skilled Nordic Walking educators, continuously promoting health and fitness worldwide through collaboration, education, and inspiration with INWA.
